Here are a few examples to make this clear:
- An officer making an entry who resides somewhere in New York or California would indicate NA - North America
- An officer residing somewhere in France would indicate EU - Europe
- An officer residing somewhere in Australia would indicate OC - Ocenia
- ... and so on
We do not request this information to determine your exact residence, but rather to approximate the region where the session is “hosted.” GTA Online generally groups players from nearby geographic areas into the same session to optimize performance. Specifying your general vicinity helps us track and analyze high-activity regions for crime statistics and related metrics. Please consult the table below for region codes and descriptions.
