About the New Team of Weapons and Tactics
Founded in 2008, the New Team of Weapons and Tactics (NTWT) is a long-standing gaming and technology community built around innovation, collaboration, and shared passion for interactive entertainment. What began as a small group of friends providing emergency services to players in Grand Theft Auto IV multiplayer quickly evolved into a thriving multi-game community with its own infrastructure, servers, and custom software.
Over the years, NTWT has grown from a small console gaming group into a modern online organization supporting multiple platforms, large multiplayer communities, and advanced technical projects ranging from server administration to software development and radio communications infrastructure.
Our Origins
NTWT traces its roots to Liberty City Emergency Services, founded in 2008 shortly after the release of Grand Theft Auto IV. The project soon evolved into Liberty City United Divisions (LCUD), an organization providing both emergency and non-emergency public services to players in open multiplayer environments.
Formation of TWAT
In 2013, several experienced players departed an overly restrictive Battlefield clan and founded the Team of Weapons and Tactics. Built around a philosophy of player freedom, fairness, and strong administration, the group quickly established popular multiplayer servers and a growing community.
The 2013 Merger
Later that same year, Liberty City United Divisions, Los Santos United Divisions, and Team of Weapons and Tactics were unified into a single organization: the New Team of Weapons and Tactics. This merger consolidated our resources, communities, and infrastructure under one banner while preserving our shared history dating back to 2008.
Technology & Innovation
NTWT members have contributed to numerous technical initiatives over the years, including multiplayer server administration, custom gaming tools, community infrastructure, and software projects. One notable project was Extender Information Security, a companion tool developed to protect players from malicious modifications in GTA Online.
Infrastructure
Our organization operates a wide range of digital infrastructure including community platforms, dedicated multiplayer servers, and radio communications systems. Our GMRS repeater network provides regional coverage for licensed operators and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to technical experimentation and community connectivity.
Today
More than a decade after its founding, NTWT continues to evolve while remaining true to the principles that shaped it: professionalism, technical curiosity, and a commitment to creating enjoyable environments for players and enthusiasts alike.
