Temporary Department Closure

Effective August 20, 2021, the difficult decision was made by the New Team of Weapons and Tactics to temporarily close the Los Santos Fire Department, the Los Santos Medical Center, and the Los Santos Transit.

The decision was made after careful review of available organization resources, the low population (and sometimes complete lack) of department personnel, and the ongoing lack of new applicants wanting to join the departments. For all the years these departments and services have been around and available, they were severely under-used, and with the introduction of our new site, we felt it appropriate to temporarily close down the departments. In all the Grand Theft Auto games that we support, the most popular departments have always been the police departments. Although the New Team of Weapons and Tactics began its roots and had its unique long-run with the multiple individual departments, we've decided to temporarily halt the support of them due the ongoing state of affairs and the limited resources that we have to spend on upkeep of the departments. This will allow us to spend our available resources on more active departments and provided a better service experience to all.

The Good News

Because these departments still mean a lot to us, we are not permanently closing the doors on it. However, it will remain closed unless and until there is a change in available personnel that we can acquire to be a part of these departments, and keep them going.

Moreover, the services provided by these departments are not going away— emergency medical services and transport services will be provided by the police department when available and as-needed.
