Introduction
To ensure a fair and enjoyable environment, all members of the New Team of Weapons and Tactics are required to adhere to the following gameplay rules and guidelines.
The organization embraces a free-play philosophy, allowing members to engage in gameplay according to their preferences—within reasonable limits. We uphold our longstanding principle of “no excessive rules,” meaning our guidelines are minimal, commonsense-based, and avoid unnecessary restrictions.
This document clearly outlines our gameplay rules to eliminate ambiguity. While these are the general rules applicable across all supported games, certain games may have additional rules. To review game-specific policies, visit our Policies page and click on the article named with the game in-question.
Please note that these rules reflect our policies as of the last revision date at the top of this page. As a dynamic organization, we may update our policies periodically. Members should check this page regularly to stay informed about any changes.
Global, Game, and Department Rules
The rules outlined in this document apply globally across all supported games and departments. However, specific games and departments may have supplementary rules that operate in conjunction with these.
To access game-specific rules, visit the respective game page on our website and navigate to the "Rules" section or append /rules
to the game’s URL.
All games and departments maintain a designated rules page. If no additional rules exist for a particular game or department, the rules page will indicate this. If you encounter a broken link or error page while attempting to access a rules page, please contact us.
Exclusive Membership Policy
For reasons related to security, integrity, and operational focus, all members of the New Team of Weapons and Tactics are required to maintain exclusive affiliation with this community. Membership in any other gaming-related group, clan, guild, organization, or similar entity is strictly prohibited while affiliated with NTWT.
This policy is essential to protect the privacy, safety, and trust of our members, as well as to safeguard sensitive information, collaborative work, internal discussions, and proprietary concepts or trade secrets shared within our network.
While the New Team of Weapons and Tactics proudly maintains a casual and non-restrictive culture that respects members' personal time and commitments, our collective strength and cohesion rely on unified focus. Divided attention between multiple groups, even informally, can pose risks to our community’s cohesion, effectiveness, and trust structure.
In light of our recent expansion into areas beyond gaming— including creative, technical, educational, and professional spaces— this exclusivity requirement applies to all members, not only those involved in gaming-related activities. Although we would prefer not to impose this rule on those outside the gaming branch, the administrative overhead and security concerns involved in distinguishing exceptions make consistent enforcement necessary.
This universal policy ensures that our entire community remains protected, focused, and free from potential conflicts of interest or malicious infiltration.
Warning and Termination Policies
The New Team of Weapons and Tactics follows a three-strike policy for most infractions. However, serious violations fall under a zero-tolerance policy, which may result in immediate termination.
- Three-Strike Policy: Members violating organization-wide or department-specific rules receive one (1) strike per offense. Upon accumulating three (3) strikes, the member is subject to removal from the organization or department.
- Zero-Tolerance Policy: Severe violations (e.g., cheating, harassment, or malicious activity) may result in immediate termination without prior warnings.
Updates and Changes to Rules
Our rules and policies are subject to review and community feedback. If at least five (5) individuals (members or visitors) formally request a rule change within a 12-month period, we will initiate a discussion thread. After one week of discussion, a 30-day community vote will determine whether the rule remains, is modified, or is removed.
Rule modifications cannot be revisited for 90 days following a change to ensure stability and prevent excessive amendments.
Policies on Cheats and Exploits
Due to the complexities of cheat detection and enforcement, our policies on cheating and exploits are outlined in a separate document. Please refer to our Policies Regarding Cheats and Exploits.
Joining with a History of Cheating
While we uphold fair play, we recognize that individuals may have made mistakes in the past. Prospective members with a history of cheating may apply if they have remained cheat-free for at least one (1) year (365 days).
All applicants undergo a background check. Honesty is crucial—falsifying information about past cheating will result in immediate application denial.
Reporting a Cheating Member
If you suspect another member of cheating, please submit a report through our Report Center.
Code of Conduct
Members are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism, courtesy, and respect. Discriminatory behavior, harassment, or toxic conduct will not be tolerated.
We enforce a zero-tolerance policy regarding discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, or other factors. While members are entitled to their personal beliefs, they must refrain from expressing offensive or inflammatory opinions in the community.
Clan and Crew Tags
Many games allow players to display clan tags (a four-letter acronym representing a gaming clan or organization). Where applicable, the official tag for the New Team of Weapons and Tactics is NTWT.
Members are encouraged, but not required, to use the official NTWT tags while representing the organization.
Platoons, Crews, and Teams
Some games support custom teams, groups, platoons, crews, or posses. These features may offer additional benefits, such as custom emblems or in-game perks.
Official members may join any of our recognized teams, though participation is optional. For a list of official platoons and crews, visit our Social page.
