Access of 3rd Floor Areas in Battlefield 3

The debate regarding the access of the third floor areas on certain maps such as Operation Metro and Seine Crossing has aroused recent discussions once again. While the previous poll only lasted about a week before the forums were migrated, the results were lopsided toward the "Disallow Use of the Area" option.

 

Since most polls last about two weeks and the previous poll didn't get to last that long, we've felt it fair to make yet another. And here is.

 

The poll once again involves the access of the third floor areas in buildings of certain maps, as noted previously, particularly where no regular door access is present. The primary method of currently accessing such areas involves jumping onto window sills and hopping from one another while finally jumping over the sill into the (normally) inaccessible area.

 

This previously was not mandated against (that is, access to those areas have been allowed) but as players, members, and even staff have their own thoughts and feelings about it, a poll is a simple means of making a final decision.

 

This poll will end on October 20, 2013. Once you vote, you can change your vote if your thoughts or opinion change before this date. The results will be analyzed and the option with the majority votes will win and the official policy will be written as such and will take effect soon after. This is a public poll, so non-members (of the New Team of Weapons and Tactics, that is) are also encouraged to vote.

I used to go up in those areas now and then about half a year ago. But I haven't since; just don't see the real need to up there. And I'll admit I've gotten a bit annoyed at people who sit up there tossing M320's everywhere. To make matters worse, claymores are typically deployed on the window sills, making it next to impossible to get in there and manually take them out.

Hard to say for me. I don't see anybody going into those types of areas really. I personally don't care either way you guys vote, as long it's not an invisible wall that' making it so you can't kill him

 

So whatever options you go with, it doesn't effect me either way.

 

I wouldn't allow it though, mainly because DICE doesn't want people in certain areas, yet they find an exploit to do so.

I don't really see people going up there at all and when they do all they do is snipe or a quiet spawn point and I even enjoy going up there sometimes and sniping people coming from bravo
