This policy governs the use of communication services operated by the New Team of Weapons and Tactics. These services may include voice, text, and other interactive platforms such as, but not limited to:
- Ventrilo
- TeamSpeak
- Mumble
- Discord
- In-Game Voice and/or Chat Systems
and any other communication tools operated by the New Team of Weapons and Tactics.
These services are provided primarily for members of the New Team of Weapons and Tactics and may also be made available to the public as a courtesy. By connecting to or using any of these communication systems, you agree to abide by the rules and expectations outlined below as well as our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Public access to these services may be restricted, limited, or discontinued at any time at the discretion of New Team of Weapons and Tactics.
General Expectations
Our general philosophy is simple: use common sense and treat others with respect. These platforms exist so people can communicate, coordinate gameplay, and socialize. If your behavior interferes with that goal, you may be removed from the service.
All rules listed below apply to everyone equally. Violating any rule may result in warnings, temporary removal, or permanent bans depending on the situation.
Rules
01 — Be respectful
Treat others with basic respect. Harassment, excessive hostility, or antagonistic behavior toward other users will not be tolerated. This includes racist, sexist, discriminatory, or otherwise abusive remarks.
Friendly banter and humor are fine, but if someone asks you to stop or your behavior is clearly disrupting the environment, staff may intervene.
02 — No harassment or targeting of other users
Do not make fun of players because of their skill level, play style, accent, equipment, or experience level. Everyone is here to enjoy themselves and participate at their own pace.
03 — No spam or disruptive behavior
Spamming includes, but is not limited to, repeatedly messaging users, excessively poking individuals, rapidly switching channels, transmitting disruptive audio, or otherwise intentionally interfering with ongoing conversations.
This rule also applies to audio transmitted through voice activation systems, commonly referred to as voice activity detection or an "open microphone." Users utilizing voice activation must make reasonable efforts to ensure that their microphone does not continuously transmit unwanted background noise. Examples include televisions, conversations in the background, environmental noise, or animals such as barking dogs.
If you are located in an environment where background noise cannot reasonably be controlled, you should switch to push-to-talk (PTT) to avoid disrupting others in the channel.
Streaming music over voice channels is not permitted. Broadcasting music may violate licensing laws in many jurisdictions, and even when licensing concerns are not applicable, music playback often disrupts normal communication since participants rarely share identical musical preferences.
Additionally, continuous music streaming consumes unnecessary bandwidth and resources on communication systems designed primarily for conversation and coordination. Users wishing to listen to music together are encouraged to utilize dedicated streaming services designed for that purpose.
04 — Respect the privacy of others
Do not intentionally eavesdrop on conversations, attempt to bypass channel permissions, or harass users who have indicated they wish to be left alone.
Sharing another person's personal information without their consent is strictly prohibited.
05 — No pornography or explicit content
Posting or linking to pornographic or sexually explicit material is not allowed on communication services operated by the New Team of Weapons and Tactics.
06 — No piracy or illegal activity
Do not discuss, distribute, or link to pirated software, copyrighted material obtained illegally, or instructions on bypassing licensing systems.
07 — No impersonation
Do not impersonate New Team of Weapons and Tactics staff, administrators, other community members, game developers, or representatives of any company or organization.
08 — No advertising or solicitation
Advertising external communities, services, referral programs, or products is not permitted without approval from New Team of Weapons and Tactics staff member. One or more links in a signature, profile, or channel description is generally acceptable, but unsolicited promotions or messages are not unless expressly permitted in specific areas.
09 — No cheating or malicious activity
Discussion or promotion of cheating, exploiting, or malicious behavior in online games or services is not allowed on New Team of Weapons and Tactics communication systems.
10 — No abuse of the service
Do not attempt to disrupt, exploit, overload, or otherwise interfere with the operation of New Team of Weapons and Tactics services or infrastructure. This includes attempting to bypass bans, using alternate accounts to evade restrictions, or engaging in other abusive behavior.
11 — Display names must be appropriate
Usernames and nicknames must not contain offensive language, impersonate other individuals, or otherwise violate these rules.
12 — English is preferred
Because the New Team of Weapons and Tactics include participants from many different locations, English should generally be used in public channels to ensure conversations remain understandable to the majority of participants.
Moderation and Enforcement
Administrators and staff may take action when necessary to maintain a safe and functional environment. This may include issuing warnings, moving users between channels, muting users, temporarily removing users from the service, or permanently banning accounts.
Moderation decisions are made at the discretion of New Team of Weapons and Tactics staff. Attempts to evade bans or disciplinary actions may result in broader restrictions.
Service Availability
Communication services may occasionally be taken offline for maintenance, upgrades, or technical issues. Temporary interruptions should be expected from time to time.
Final Notes
These communication services are provided as a courtesy to the community. Abuse of the service may result in individual bans or the removal of public access if necessary to maintain stability and security.
If you encounter abusive behavior or rule violations, please report the issue to an administrator or through the appropriate reporting channels on our website.
