To protect our community from spam, abuse, and fraudulent registrations, the New Team of Weapons and Tactics restricts account registration to a list of verified, legitimate email service providers. This helps us maintain a high level of trust and security for all members, reduce abuse, and ensure more reliable communication.
We only allow registrations from major email services that are known for maintaining strict anti-abuse policies, secure infrastructure, and long-term reputation.
Please note that this new policy was enacted in May 2025 and does not apply to or affect past registrations.
Why We Limit Email Domains
- To prevent the use of disposable or temporary email services often used by spammers and abusers.
- To ensure more reliable delivery of important messages and alerts.
- To minimize the administrative workload caused by fraudulent accounts.
- To help maintain a safe and secure experience for all our members and visitors.

Why Certain Email Domains Are Not Accepted
To uphold the security and integrity of our community, we limit account registrations to email providers that demonstrate strong privacy practices, reliable uptime, and responsible abuse handling. This approach helps us minimize spam, reduce fraud, and prevent automated bot registrations.
As part of this policy, certain legacy or less secure email services are not permitted. These include, but are not limited to:
- aim.com – Discontinued in 2017 and no longer actively maintained
- mail.ru – Frequently flagged for poor spam control and privacy concerns
- inbox.ru – Associated with high abuse rates in public abuse databases
- yopmail.com – A disposable email service commonly used for spam
- protonmail.ch (free tier) – Often exploited for anonymous abuse, despite its strong privacy mission
- gmx.com – Previously linked to inconsistent abuse handling
We emphasize that this list is not a reflection of any platform’s original intent, but rather our responsibility to protect our users from bad actors who commonly exploit these services.
Using a Custom Email Service or Domain?
If you are using a custom email address or service with a domain not listed above, or you represent a legitimate organization or email provider, you may request an exception by getting in touch with us. We will ultimately need to know your your domain name and brief justification for inclusion. We are happy to evaluate legitimate requests and update our allowlist accordingly.
Also, as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting online privacy, we welcome individuals who utilize custom or privately hosted email services in place of mainstream cloud-based providers. If your email domain is not currently included in our approved list, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are happy to review and consider legitimate requests to ensure everyone has secure and fair access to our platform. To protect the privacy of those using privately-hosted email services, such services are not shown on our list of approved providers above.
