  • Ranking System

The New Team of Weapons and Tactics utilizes a custom-designed ranking structure that reflects both seniority among our general membership (Enlisted) and responsibility within our organizational leadership (Administration). As of July 2021, our ranking system was streamlined to feature a total of 10 ranks, replacing the previous structure of 15 ranks that separated enlisted and staff positions more granularly.

Reflecting the nature of our community, which is deeply rooted in gaming environments centered around military and law enforcement themes, our ranking system carries a modest resemblance to traditional military and police rank hierarchies. However, it remains uniquely tailored to suit the needs, culture, and operational goals of the New Team of Weapons and Tactics as a whole.

  • Enlisted

The Enlisted ranks represent the core membership of the New Team of Weapons and Tactics. Enlisted members are the foundation of our organization, embodying our mission through active participation, camaraderie, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming and enjoyable environment. Enlisted members focus on gaming, socializing, and engaging with the community without administrative responsibilities.

Promotions through the Enlisted ranks are based on a member's active participation within the organization. Starting from Recruit (Rank 01), members become eligible for promotion after completing each full year of active service, provided they demonstrate at least semi-regular engagement with our community — including participation on our website, in-game activities, and communication channels such as TeamSpeak, Discord, and others.

    00. Auxiliary

All newly joined members begin as Auxiliary members. Auxiliary members have access to basic organizational resources, including forums, the website, game servers, and communication servers. Time in this rank may vary, as eligibility for promotion is evaluated individually based on activity and readiness.

    02. Private

Members are eligible for promotion to Private after one full year of active service since joining the organization and being promoted to Recruit.

    03. Private First Class

    04. Lance Corporal

Members are eligible for promotion to Lance Corporal after completing a third full year of active service following promotion to Private First Class. Exceptions to time requirements may be granted on a case-by-case basis for members demonstrating exceptional commitment and service.

    05. Corporal

Corporal is the highest attainable rank within the Enlisted structure. Members are eligible for promotion to Corporal after completing a fourth full year of active service following promotion to Lance Corporal. Corporals represent the senior-most members of the general community and may remain in this rank indefinitely unless they choose to pursue a position within the administrative or staff ranks. Exceptions to time requirements may be considered based on extraordinary service and contributions to the organization.

  • Administration

The Administration ranks represent the leadership backbone of the New Team of Weapons and Tactics. Administrative members are entrusted with overseeing operations, supporting organizational well-being, and guiding members in alignment with the New Team of Weapons and Tactics' core values. These individuals, who once served among our Enlisted ranks, have advanced into critical leadership and support roles to ensure the continued success and smooth operation of the organization.

    06. Sergeant

Sergeants serve as first-line supervisors within their assigned precincts. They assist with daily operations, coordinate member activities, and perform routine administrative tasks. Typically, a precinct is supported by 2-4 Sergeants, providing essential operational leadership at the member level.

    07. Lieutenant

Lieutenants act as second-level supervisors, assisting Captains and Sergeants with advanced administrative duties. They provide guidance to members, help manage precinct operations, and temporarily assume command during a Captain's absence, following seniority protocols. A typical precinct includes 1-3 Lieutenants.

    08. Captain

Captains serve as the highest-ranking supervisors within precincts. They are responsible for overseeing all precinct operations and ensuring the welfare of both staff and enlisted members. Captains delegate responsibilities as needed to Lieutenants and Sergeants to maintain operational efficiency. Each precinct is led by one Captain.

    09. Deputy Chief

Deputy Chiefs are senior administrators who oversee the operations of all precincts across the organization. This prestigious rank is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, commitment, and service to the organization. Inspectors work closely with the Chief Executive Officers, providing strategic oversight and ensuring policies, operations, and initiatives align with organizational goals.

Note: The insignia for this rank was originally symbolized by a Colonel's eagle and later updated to two-stars to better reflect its scope and responsibilities.

    10. Chief

The Chief (formerly referred to as Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director,  and Commissioner) represents the highest level of leadership within the New Team of Weapons and Tactics. This title is exclusively reserved for the original five founding members of the organization. Chiefs collectively oversee all aspects of the organization's operations, governance, and strategic development.

Chief Executive Officers collaborate closely with Inspectors and other senior administrators to safeguard organizational well-being, ensure operational excellence, and guide the community in adapting to the evolving landscape of gaming and global trends. Chiefs maintain equal ownership of the organization and share collective responsibility for its success.
