Profile Fields & Icons

Hey everyone,

 

 

 

Just a small little enhancement I've been working on. If you go to edit your profile, you'll notice a few extra fields where you can input your soldier name (character) for Battlefield 3 (which most of you have here) and Battlefield 2142. It's a little extra feature I'm adding to enhance the site a bit. It may not seem like much now, but behind the scenes, I'm experimenting with a variety of different options as we speak. Some features you may see appear and disappear. During the testing phases, everything is intermittent until confirmed it's fully functional. Now being the only person to experiment with the new features, sometimes it takes a bit more time than usual. And some features that are released may need to be removed in the future. I can only glance over the major obvious issues. Small issues that occur under rare circumstances may not be an option for me to catch and may result in being found during use. Should issues continue arise in a particular feature, that feature may be removed. So just keep this in mind as you might see small things appear and disappear on the site. Ultimately, it's all for the improvement in our network.

 

 

 

That said, this new feature is a small yet convenient feature for others to:

 

1. See what games you play and
   
2. Find you in each game
   

Each field allows you to put your soldier name, character name, or online name or ID for each particular game. I can easily add new fields for other games, which is the main purpose of this thread. Each field must have an icon associated with it; the icon usually being the icon used for the game. You can see the icons used for Battlefield 3. Hopefully there can be an icon for each game and platform varient the game exists on (or at least each major platform), as the case is with Battlefield 3. So, if you've got a game you want to add to the list, throw it here (with an icon) and I'll get started on adding it to everyone's profile.

 

 

 

For cosmetic reasons, each icon must:

 

• Be no taller than 16 pixels
  
• Be hopefully no wider than 50 pixels
  
• Have a transparent background
  
• Be a PNG (*.png) file format
  

 

 

 

 

Each profile is available for everyone to enter the information in to; if it's left blank, it will NOT show up on your public profile. Only games which you've filled out your online name/soldier/ID/etc will show up. I will be adding a few games such as GTA V, GTA IV and GTA SA (though I don't play the GTA SA Multiplayer mod).

 

 

 

I can add as many games as necessary; we don't need to necessarily support the game for it to be added to the profiles. :)
