Christopher 1,393
To all whom it may concern: I've recently got some messages from fellow admins and players who have questioned our specific server rules for Battlefield 3. One of the specific rules was regarding the 3rd floor areas on Operation Metro. Some of the 3rd floor areas can also be accessed from other maps such as Seine Crossing. As an organization, I will say that until something is strictly put on "paper" (that is, on our website or forums), it's not a strict rule. I know the 3rd floor area is kind of a sticky subject as many have their own opinions on it. I made a poll about it not long ago but only received 2 votes on it, which is not enough to make a strict decision on our final rule. I will be making a poll about it soon, so stay tuned. But in the meantime, the general idea for specific rules is that unless they're strictly stated on our website (which will be released soon), we can't enforce the rule. There is to be absolutely NO yelling at admins or players for rules that aren't specified on the current site. You may enforce current rules that are shown (written) on the current site, but nothing more.
*Current website is here: https://sites.google.com/a/teamofweapon ... ctics/home *Battlefield 3 are located here: https://sites.google.com/a/teamofweapon ... -agreement
As a team, it is organization policy to base final rules on an organization-wide vote. When the voting period ends, the majority vote goes. In situations where votes are tied, we may make specific decisions on absolute specifics to a particular rule. So please, be sure that when you see these polls, to participate and vote. Everyone is our audience: admins, staff, members, and public users and players of our servers. In the end, one vote could make a difference in whether a rule is approved or denied. I hope this is clear now. If there is any confusion, post a reply here. This thread will remain a sticky and open for the time being.
Christopher 1,393
Re: Enforcing Battlefield 3 Server Rules Another thing I forgot to mention is bringing up issues to admins. Never ridicule an admin or a long-term member in public. It's extremely unprofessional and will not be tolerated. If you need to bring something to someone's attention and they're an admin or a member who's been here a long time, send them a message or ask them to join you in the menus. But by no means should anyone ever publicly ridicule someone. Doing so will cost you a warning and repeated offences may result in loss of privileges. I wanted to make sure this was clear, as I got PM'd by an admin who got yelled at for doing something that the other admin *thought* was a violation but in fact, was not. I told him that he was fine and not to worry about it but that I would address this to everyone as a quick reference. Again, the specifics on being an admin will be clarified later on our new website, but for now, this will suffice.
