Christopher 1,393
Hello everyone, There's been some recent discussion that's caused me to sway a bit from what I've been doing so far and I'd like to discuss some changes that will be taking place over the course of time here at NTWT. Part of being an "organization" (and not some generic clan or guild) is having everything clear, concise, intuitive, and simple. I've spent the past year working primarily on developing the basics that we could have members utilize different platforms and services that offer, in addition to forming a solid set policies so that everyone can be clear on what they can/cannot do, etc. After the year of hard work and help from the administrators staff at NTWT, I believe we've reached an acceptable level at this point - further development will continue, however the basics are there. That said, one of the things at NTWT I feel to be slightly ambiguous is the role and responsibility of administrators and staff. There isn't exactly a clear line between what different administrators can do and what levels of staff there are, aside from how they're described on our Ranking System page. That's not too good, now is it? It's not. So starting now, I will be focusing on the development of our administrator and staff positions. Over the course of time, we will clarify the roles of our current positions and introduce new positions, which we'll be sure to individually explain. Administrator and staff positions will generally be more specific and some will require an extra step in order to be eligible. All administrator and staff positions are available to individuals who have reached rank #20 in our Ranking System and wish to pursue such a staffing position (you can view your rank by visiting your profile here within our forums). Individual positions are first subject to availability and then are subject to a unanimous agreement amongst several directors, Senior Officers, CTO's or CEO's. Some positions will require an examination as the final determining factor, which must be taken by any and all individuals wishing to hold the position(s) in question. Every administrator and staff position will have a unique title and a clear outline of their rights and responsibilities. If an examination is required for the position, it will be noted in the position details. Examinations (for administrator and staff positions) consist of a timed, ten (10) multiple-choice question exam. Questions are all equally weighted and are specific to the administrator or staff position it is designed for. In most cases, a minimum of seven (7) questions (out of the ten) must be correctly answered in order to pass an examination. In some special cases however, a minimum of eight (8) questions (out of the ten) must be correctly answered in order to pass an examination. All exams are "open-book" in the sense that you may lookup information you're unsure of, however since they are timed, you should only lookup questions that you're absolutely unsure of. Exams are meant to gauge your understanding of the procedures and policies involved with holding a particular position and thus, you are encouraged to be well-prepared for an examination. You may ask questions prior to the exam and additionally, you may ask questions during the exam (however we cannot do more than clarify questions during your examination). That said, this will take some time to fully implement and develop however I will be focusing it for some time now. To start off, since most of us are playing Battlefield, I'll shortly post an announcement showing the different admin/staff positions that we offer for that. I hope this will all eventually help to clear some ambiguities that may exist and I look forward to working on a better and more developed organization.
